A very important note before I get into your new Moon forecast!
This is the final new Moon before we get into eclipse season (November 19 - December 4) and some particularly unusual and potentially challenging astrological weather. Be sure to read my special November Astrology Forecast on my blog for all the details and dates to note on your calendar!

The new Moon is at it's darkest at 9:14pm Pacific Time.
The Positive Eccentric and erratic Uranus is directly opposite the new Moon. Although Swati, the nakshatra where the new Moon occurs is FABULOUS for new beginnings! Read more about Swati and how the energy of this nakshatra and the new Moon can be leveraged below.
The Watch Out
That said, the influence of Uranus to the new Moon and potential new Moon beginnings can bring some surprises! Positive or challenging surprises, you might be asking? This question needs to be addressed in detail. I have devoted an entire article to this topic on my blog here. Keep in mind that Saturn really wants Uranus and Mars to slow their roll!
Regardless of your rising sign, there will be underlying energies associated with this new Moon:
▪ Excitable and freedom loving
▪ Eccentric and rebellious
▪ Changing and transforming

New Moon in Swati Nakshatra: What is it good for?

SWATI NAKSHATRA “THE SWORD” Deity: Vayu Symbol: Blade of Grass Shakti: The Power to Scatter like the Wind Quality: Moveable Vimshottari Dasha Planetary Period Lord: Rahu
Vayu, the wind god, is the presiding deity over Swati, and the blade of grass is its symbol. As the wind blows a blade of grass, it bends it. When the grass shoot is young and tender, it will bend more than it does when it is tall and strong. If it is the Moon in Swati, then it can scatter the manas, or mind. Activities that are started while the Moon is moving through Swati have the ability to spread far and wide like the wind. Vayu is also called the wanderer, and travel is associated with Swati. The power of this nakshatra can be harnessed for positive results, or, if one allows the wind to blow too hard, it can have a destructive capacity.
Read more about Swati nakshatra in my book, Vedic Astrology for Beginners. Swati nakshatra energy is moveable and fantastic for achieving your objectives!
Combining Swati nakshatra with the new Moon energy, this is a powerful new Moon for new beginnings. Listed below are the activities most suited to Swati nakshatra and for new beginnings.
▪ Social Networking and Marketing (Sagittarius)
▪ Pranayama and Breathwork (Cancer)
▪ Starting a New Course or Workshop (Pisces)
▪ Diplomacy and Mediation (Aries)
▪ Starting a New Business (Capricorn)
Swati nakshatra is supportive for these matters for all rising signs but doubly so for the rising signs I have indicated above next to each subject.

Sidereal Forecasts!
This is just a reminder for those who are new to my new and full Moon forecasts and other articles -- my forecasts are created using the sidereal system calculations.
Your rising sign, and other planets in your birth chart will usually (but not 100% of the time) shift signs from your tropically calculated horoscope. Sidereal calculations are about 24 degrees (less than) different than tropical calculations. CALCULATE MY VEDIC BIRTH CHART
