September 6 Wild Child New Moon Energy!

The new Moon is at it's darkest Monday, September 6 at 5:50pm Pacific Time.

The electric and unpredictable planet Uranus will be exactly trine to this new Moon energy! A trine is an influence from one planet to another that is placed in a sign with the same element. In this case, Uranus in fiery Mars trine to the Sun and Moon in fiery Leo.

Once the Moon shifts to waxing (after 5:51pm September 6), there is a fiery element associated with this phase. Combined with the energy of fiery Leo and the influence from electric Uranus you may want to run wild with whatever new project you have in mind! The watch out is to not be too impulsive. Think your project and timeline through before taking the leap!

This can create a somewhat unstable and a bit of a wild child influence, so you may want to consider starting important new projects once the Moon shifts into earthly Virgo on Tuesday.

You can find the best hours for new beginnings detailed below in the New Moon Ritual Timing section.

New Moon in Purva Phalguni Nakshatra: What is it good for?

PURVA PHALGUNI “THE FORMER REDDISH ONE” 13°20' LEO TO 26°40' LEO Deity: Bhaga Symbol: Front Legs of the Marriage Bed or Hammock Shakti: The Power of Procreation Quality: Fierce VD Planetary Period Lord: Venus

Purva Phalguni is the first of two nakshatras that form the pair Purva Phalguni and Uttara Phalguni. Relaxation, rest, pleasure, and sexual activities are just a few of the indications of this nakshatra. The symbol of the hammock, or legs of the bed, reinforces these qualities. Bhaga, the god of material bliss and prosperity through union, is one of the Adityas (solar deities) and presides over Purva Phalguni.

Read more about this nakshatra in my book, Vedic Astrology for Beginners.

Indicated below are the rising signs most suited to each type of new beginning.

Getting Married or Committing to a Partnership (Aquarius, Aries) Romantic Interludes (Aries) Rest and relaxation (Leo, Virgo) Artistic Endeavors (Gemini) Singing (Cancer) Buying homes or land (Taurus) Using Powers of Persuasion (Cancer, Leo) Mediating Disagreements (Pisces) Entering a new business partnership, signing contracts (Scorpio) Finalizing a will (Capricorn)

Of course Purva Phalguni is supportive for these matters for all rising signs but doubly so for the rising signs I have listed above.

New Moon Ritual Timing BEST TIMING FOR NEW BEGINNINGS: Monday September 6, 5:51pm Pacific Time through Tuesday, September 7, 4:00 pm Pacific Time.

Sidereal Forecasts! This is just a reminder for those who are new to my new and full Moon forecasts and other articles -- my forecasts are created using the sidereal zodiac calculations.

Your rising sign, and other planets in your birth chart will usually (but not 100% of the time) shift signs from your tropically calculated horoscope. Sidereal calculations are about 24 degrees (less than) different than tropical calculations.
