Full Harvest Moon October 1

Full Harvest Moon October 1 @ 2:04 p.m. Pacific Time

This is the first of two beautiful and brilliant full Moons that occur in October! The second full Moon just happens to occur on All Hallows' Eve (aka Halloween).

Be sure to read the full Moon energy forecast first in this email, then hop on over to my site and read the full Moon forecast for your sign.

Be sure to have a look at the Moon as it shines brightly above the eastern horizon soon after sunset on Thursday, October 1.

The week after the full Moon we will continue to see the Moon rise in the early evening, illuminating what will hopefully be clear skies. This boost of evening moonlight in October gave farmers extra time to continue harvesting crops, which is why this full Moon is dubbed the Harvest Moon.

You will see the almost full Moon rising from the east or northeast (depending upon where in the US you are - check timeanddate.com for other countries moon rise direction) a few hours after sunset.

For a change, this full Moon will have little interference from other planets! The day before the full Moon may feel a bit more subdued due to a close aspect from sombre Saturn, but other than this the full Moon energy is clear and bright in Pisces! (my western astrology friends please keep in mind the calculations I use are sidereal vs tropical, so Pisces, not Aries!).

If you are Pisces rising, this is your one and only full Moon in your sign during 2020. Be sure to use the energy of the full Moon to complete something personal!

Regardless of your rising sign, there will be an underlying energy for all associated with this new Moon in the air sign of Pisces connected to:

Full Moon in Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra: The Warrior Star

This excerpt on Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra is from my new book Vedic Astrology for Beginners: An Introduction to the Origins and Core Concepts of Jyotish:

26. UTTARA BHADAPRADA “THE LATTER HAPPY FEET” 3°20' PISCES TO 16°40' PISCES Deity: Ahirbudhnya Symbol: Back Legs of a Funeral Cot Shakti: To Bring Rain Quality: Fixed

Ahirbudhnya is a serpent of the deep cosmic waters or the cloud serpent. As I mentioned in Ashlesha nakshatra, serpents in this ancient tradition of Jyotish have dhi, or great knowledge and wisdom. The shakti of this nakshatra is to bring rain, and therefore it is a wealth-giving nakshatra. Rain is required for wealth-giving crops to grow, and the indications of this nakshatra can also be a metaphor for bringing spiritual rain.

While this full Moon does signal endings, it is also a nakshatra of Varshodyamana Shakti - which means the power (Shakti) to bring rain and to grow plants or create stability.

This nakshatra also supports: * Arts and Creativity * Meditation * Developing your Intuition * Financial Gains * Healing; working with healing plants, herbs and other healing tools * Gardening * Laying a foundation - literally or figuratively

Full Healing Moon Intention

What in your life are you ready to complete at this full Moon?

"I totally embrace the process of letting go and creating positive change in my life."

I love working with Sunstone (for Sun), Rainbow Moonstone (for Full Moon) and Blue Lace Agate (for intention setting) for full Moon energy and intention setting.

Blue Lace Agate is an amazing stone with such clear energy it is hard to express in writing. The quality of this crystal is the highgest grade you can find and the vibration is equally as powerful! Combined with the Sunstone and Moonstone it is the the perfect combination for Sun, Moon and rising sign. You can find it in my shop here. Set your intentions during the full Moon phase but conduct your rituals AFTER the phase shifts to waning if you are intending to use this energy for endings - see times below!
