New Moon: March 6, 2019 21' Aquarius

New Moons are usually great for new beginnings and for going inward to contemplate what we want to begin anew, particularly as it relates to where the new Moon occurs withing our individual birth chart.

This particular new Moon has some very interesting and unique qualities that will be fine for setting intentions, but ideally you may want to wait to initiate new activities once the Moon moves into the next lunar mansion and the first waxing period. I will give you the exact date and times in this forecast.

Here's why.

Nebulous Neptune and sombre Saturn will be in the new Moon mix this month! A blend of opposing energies.

Neptune is great for dreaming. Especially in airy fairy Aquarius. Saturn's strong gaze to this new Moon however is a reminder to bring it all back down to earth and reality! Neptune wants limitlessness and to dissolve all boundaries. Saturn on the other hand, wants to implement restrictions and boundaries. If we tap into these contrasting energies in a balanced manner we can harness this unlikely pairing in a productive way.

Intention for this new Moon energy: I am in harmony with the vibration of the Sun, the new Moon, the Stars and the Planets.

There is an underlying fierceness to this new Moon energy since it is at is darkest within the lunar mansion of Purva Bhadrapada. Purva Bhadrapada is a ferocious nakshatra that contains the power of spiritual fire! It supports our efforts to fight for what is right from a spiritual perspective as well as for the good and protection of humanity. This lunar mansion supports risky activities but is still not great for new beginnings!

Ideally you want to initiate all new Moon activities during the first phase of the waxing Moon, as soon as the light and fire of the Moon has turned the corner on complete darkness.

The time to initiate your new Moon intentions is March 7 after 7:24am PDT - 10:13am PDT, if you can. Otherwise it is ideal to do it later, rather than before 7:24am, since the Moon will still be in the lunar mansion of Purva Bhadrapada until that time.

Since my articles are getting longer, I am going to be separating my forecast out into its own blog post. Be sure to read the New Moon forecast by rising sign here.
