June 2022 Vedic Astrology Forecast

Important astrological transits for June.

Vedic Astrology Insights for June:

The first eclipse season of 2022 is thankfully in the past and Summer Solstice is near!

The new Moon at the end of May ushers in the month of June with a newly waxing phase. And the Sun is moving closer each day toward the longest day of the year and summer solstice on June 21 at 2:13am PT.

Other planets passing through Aries in June and July must first run the gauntlet by erratic Uranus and then ravenous Rahu. The tricky thing about the combination of these unique and volatile planets in Aries is that they are all under the critical and conservative gaze of Saturn! Strong push pull energies! Especially for those ruled by Mars and Saturn (Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn and Aquarius rising).

  • The next planet moving through Aries is Venus. Taurus and Libra rising - pay close attention! Venus will be stuck in the middle of unpredictable Uranus and ravenous Rahu June 11-15. Venus is the planet of diplomacy and procreation. This period will likely see an increase of tensions regarding the awaited US Supreme court ruling on Roe v Wade.

  • Aries and Scorpio rising friends, get your planners out! Next up, Mars enters Aries on June 27 and remains in Aries through August 10. From the end of June until August 11, Mars is going to be on a mission! More on this influence next month.

  • Mars transiting Aries will be considerably less patient than Venus (again - Aries and Scorpio rising, take note!). Especially with the co-presence of Rahu and Uranus in Aries. Yikes! Mars as the warrior (and definitely not a peacekeeper like Venus) with these two rebel planets can be explosive. Grateful for Saturn holding these amped up energies back for part of the month.

Jupiter is hemmed in by the malefic energies of Saturn, Rahu, Uranus and Mars in surrounding signs - this is a papakrtari yoga or or scissor yoga. For those ruled by Jupiter - Sagittarius and Pisces rising, this may be a frustrating time, possibly feeling as though you want to break free of restrictions but cannot do so. For all other rising signs pay close attention to the house number and meaning that Pisces represents in your birth chart. You may experience some delays and frustrations, but ultimately things should come through since Jupiter is so strong in its own sign!

Mercury is finally direct as of June 3! However Mercury will still be under the gaze of restrictive Saturn until the end of June. Fortunately sign lord Venus joins Mercury on June 17 to give Taurus, Gemini and Virgo rising a much needed boost!

Prepare for Epic Stargazing in June!

Full Supermoon in Jyestha Nakshatra

June 14 features the first full Moon Supermoon of 2022. This full Mood is Gandanta! More on this topic in my full Moon newsletter June 12.

Mid-June Mercury Reaches Greatest Western Elongation

The planet Mercury reaches greatest western elongation of 23.2 degrees away from the Sun, from our Earth based perspective. Beginning around June 10 through mid-June, start looking for Mercury in the eastern sky just before sunrise, low in the eastern sky. This is the best time to view Mercury since it will be at its highest point above the horizon in the morning sky.

RARE EVENT! Planets Visible in Their Natural Order in the Sky

Set the alarm for a time just prior to sunrise on June 24! Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will all be visible to the naked eye and they are aligned in their natural order (from the Sun out) in the sky!

Additionally the waning Moon will fall into line with the planets, visible between Venus and Mars.

June 26 and June 30: More Planets in Their Own Signs!

June 26: Mars in Aries, Venus in Taurus, Saturn in Aquarius. Moon is also in its exaltation sign of Taurus on June 25 and 26.

June 30 and July 1: Mars in Aries, Venus in Taurus, Mercury in Gemini (July 1) Saturn in Aquarius and Moon in Cancer. Wow!

June 28: New Moon in Ardra Nakshatra

This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as distant planets like Uranus and Neptune galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere (probably via binoculars or telescope).

Thank you for spending part of your day with me, and wishing you happy transits for June!
