Energy Forecast: August 15 Full Sturgeon Moon

According to the Old Farmers Almanac, the “Sturgeon Moon” was named by Native American tribes in the Great Lakes area. It is called this because they knew that the sturgeon were high in numbers and most easily caught during this August full Moon time period. This August Moon has also been dubbed the “Full Green Corn Moon,” since the silky green stalks of corn were ready for harvest. I love the symbolism and deep connection the Native Americans have with the phases of the Moon and its relationship to the rhythms of life on earth.

Dhanishta nakshatra also has deep roots in the connection to the cycles of life and nature, and this lunar mansion is symbolized by the musical drum, a drum similar to the one used by Native Americans. See the section below for a lot more valuable information about Dhanishta nakshatra.

If you are Capricorn rising, this is your one and only full Moon in your sign during 2019. Be sure to use this window in time to complete something very personal so that new beginnings can form.

Regardless of your rising sign, there will be an underlying energy for all associated with this new Moon in the earth sign of Capricorn connected to:

▪ Practicality

▪ Structure

▪ Career

▪ Determination

▪ Ambition

▪ Recognition from hard work

Venus in Cancer, opposite the full Moon in Capricorn, is the planet most strongly influencing the Moon during its peak.

If your rising sign is between 24-30 degrees of Capricorn this full Moon will have special meaning for you!

Schedule a reading with Pamela to find out how this new Moon and other planetary movements will influence you through the end of the year!

For all other rising signs, the house that Capricorn represents in your birth chart does connect to a very specific area of your life. Don't miss your horoscope with all the details.

New Moon in Dhanishtha Nakshatra

Dhanishta : The Star of Fame and Wealth Star: The four stars within Delphinius Symbol: A musical drum Deity: The Vasus Energy: The shakti/power of move-ability and changeability

The lunar mansion of Dhanishta imparts a moveable and changeable energy that supports the changeable nature needed for endings during this full Moon.

This earth-bound full Moon in Capricorn is practical and yet sometimes ambitious, although the undercurrent of Dhanishta nakshatra gives a unique and creative quality to the full Moon day.

Moving to the energy of the drumbeat from within Dhanishta can often find you dancing to the beat of someone else's drum...be sure to check in with your own personal needs and maybe identify a behavior and set intentions for an ending (full Moon) that may have been developed in early childhood as a result of the drum of another. Listen for the beat pf your own drum and dance joyfully to that measure! Let the Vasus guide you to your true nature.

Dhanishta nakshatra energy supports:

▪ Connecting to the rhythm of nature * Music, dance and celebration * Creative activities * Money matters * Spiritual rituals such as shamanic journeys, drum circles, etc.. * Meditation and Yoga * Beginning new studies
