Full Moon December 11: Top 5 Things You Need to Know

#1. December 11 Long Night Moon Energy Forecast

The full moon will be at its peak on December 12th at 9:12 PM PT, and is known as the Cold Moon or Long Night Moon.

This is the final full Moon before the longest night and Winter Solstice when the Sun finally begins to head north again and the Gods and Goddesses of creation awaken in mid-January!

Things may feel a little hazy on the full Moon day since nebulous Neptune is strongly influencing sensitive Moon through the first half of the day. Once Moon pulls away from Neptune early afternoon, the fog will lift and your mental acuity will feel clearer since there is significant encouragement from goal oriented and fiery Mars to the almost full Moon around noon.

Creative expression can flourish under the guidance of the Mars/Neptune combo to the Moon but the physical energy that Mars represents may be somewhat diminished, even during the usually high energy time that surrounds the full Moon.

The full Moon takes place in the sidereal sign of Taurus and this is an earthy, sign that is stable with fixed energy, at least once Moon moves past Neptune!

#2. Full Moon in Mrigasira Nakshatra

MRIGASHIRA - “HEAD OF A DEER” Deity: Chandra (Moon) Symbol: Deer Head Shakti: The Power to Give Fulfillment or Joy Quality: Soft

Mrigashira nakshatra imparts a soft and gentle energy to this full Moon, especially after the Moon passes through the strong Mars influence mid-day.

Mrigashira nakshatra energy is supportive for:

▪Creating Art

▪Writing

▪Working with Crystals

▪Selling things

▪Travel

▪Socializing

▪Health and healing

▪Relocation/moving to a new place

▪Advertising

#3. Full Moon Intention

“On this final full Moon before winter solstice, I choose to end what no longer serves my highest good, and to leave behind what I do not want to carry with me into the future as the season changes and the Sun makes it's journey north creating light filled days. "

Set your intentions during the full Moon phase, but conduct your rituals AFTER the phase shifts - see times below!

#4. Full Moon Ritual Timing for Endings

Full Moon Phase (Poornima) begins and ends: December 10 21:29 PT through December 11, 21:12PT.

BEST TIMING FOR ENDINGS: December 11, 21:13PT through December 12, 20:25PT.

#5. Eclipse Season Ahead!

Your new/full Moon horoscopes by sign for the total Solar eclipse that is happening on Christmas day is up next! You won't want to miss this forecast!

The two eclipses that are coming Dec. 25 and Jan. 10 are quite powerful. Stay tuned...

And, just a reminder for those who are new to my new and full Moon forecasts and other articles -- my forecasts are created using the sidereal zodiac calculations. Your rising sign, and other planets in your birth chart will usually (but not 100% of the time) shift signs from your tropically calculated horoscope.

Happy full Moon and wishing you all the joy of the holidays! Pamela
